How to Create Geo-Targeted Residential Proxy Lists
By AptProxy · Updated
Residential proxies on AptProxy are billed by traffic rather than per IP. You buy a package once, then create as many targeted lists as you need (within the limits below). Each list has its own host, username, password and ports.
1. Buy a traffic package
Top up your wallet by card and choose a package from 1 GB to 1,000 GB (11 sizes; the smallest costs $5.65). The price is debited from your wallet. Packages are not auto-renewed.
2. Create a list
Open Residential in the dashboard and fill in:
- Title (optional), to tell your lists apart.
- Country: one of 25 supported countries.
- Region / state, city / district and ISP / provider: optional free-text targeting. Leave them as Any for the whole country.
- Rotation: Rotating (new ip every request), Sticky (keep the same ip), 1 minute (rotate every 60s), 5 minutes (rotate every 300s), 10 minutes (rotate every 600s), 30 minutes (rotate every 1800s), 60 minutes (rotate every 3600s).
- Ports: how many ports the list has, from 1 to 500.
3. Connect
The list shows its host, username, password and ports. HTTP(S) and SOCKS5 are both accepted on the same port, so use whichever your tool supports.
curl -x http://USERNAME:PASSWORD@HOST:PORT https://api.ipify.org?format=jsonChoosing a rotation
- Rotating (new IP every request): broad scraping where each request can come from a different address.
- Sticky: multi-step flows that must keep one IP, such as paging through results.
- Timed (1 to 60 minutes): a middle ground that keeps an IP for a session, then changes it.
Limits
You can have up to 10 lists and up to 500 ports per list. All lists draw on your purchased traffic; when it runs out, buy another package. Delete lists you no longer need from the same page.
